Summary

To provide customer service excellence, striving to give our customers information ranging from product knowledge, quotes, and orders that is complete, error free and on time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be amended as management deems necessary in order to exceed customer expectations:

  1. Learn and utilize internal order-entry tools to complete quotes and/or orders.
  2. Learn and utilize external quote tools to complete quotes and/or orders.
  3. Be able to provide a high level of knowledge into the status of quotes, orders, and product offering.
  4. Professionally represent Western on the phone towards all internal and external customers.
  5. Know how department processes fit into meeting customer needs while managing customer expectations. Strive to exceed customer expectations through emphasis on communication, professional conduct, and attention to detail.
  6. Work cooperatively within the Customer Service team in catching mistakes before they get to the customer.
  7. Able to clearly identify problems, issues and opportunities; exercise common sense and reach sound conclusions.
  8. Support organizational goals and objectives.
  9. Maintain productive working relationships with co-workers, customers, and managers.
  10. Offer respect to all in the work environment, adheres to high personal standards of acceptance, reliability, openness, and consistency of action.
  11. Support and adhere to company policies and the employee handbook.  Maintain high ethical standards within the department.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Professional verbal and written communication.
  • Able to efficiently navigate basic computer software applications to locate, review, modify, enter, and interpret a variety of descriptive and numerical data.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to prioritize a variety of work tasks.
  • Solid decision making ability.
  • Previous experience in building supplies, including windows, is preferred.
