Job Description
SUMMARY

Faculty facilitate student learning and initiate and participate in efforts to consistently improve the level of student success. As learning facilitators, faculty consistently assess learning outcomes and their own teaching effectiveness.

This position reports to the Dean, Business and Transportation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Deliver curriculum, monitor, and make recommendations as appropriate to maintain course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
  2. Effective management of the classroom and/or laboratory.
  3. Promote and engage in student recruitment, retention and completion goals fostering a culture of professionalism and inclusive learning.
  4. Monitor and assess student learning outcomes and provide timely and frequent feedback to students on academic performance.
  5. Participate in advisory and/or institutional committees.
  6. Maintain certification, continue professional development and stay current in field and/or discipline.
INSTRUCTION PROGRAM SPECIFIC
  • Develop relationships with business and industry.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THE POSITION

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or a closely related field
PLUS
  • At least 2 years (4,000* hours) of relevant occupational experience

*Included in the above occupational experience: You must have a minimum of one year (2,000 hours) of relevant occupational experience within the last five years OR 2 years (4,000 hours) of relevant occupational experience and 2 years full-time or 8 semesters part-time teaching experience in a post-secondary institution within the last five years.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's Degree in Business or related field
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP),
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM),
  • Certificate in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
  • Ability to work in a fast pace agile environment.
  • Ability to work with a diverse workforce and student population
  • Ability to use student learning management systems
  • Culturally competent, including strong emotional intelligence and the ability to engage and build relationships with constituents and underrepresented communities.
