Overview:

HGA is an award-winning architecture, engineering, and planning firm with an excellent opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager in our Northern California region. We are looking for a person who is passionate about building awareness and understanding of HGA's brand and the remarkable work being done by our national, multidisciplinary design firm. This role reports to the Regional Marketing Director, manages a team of curious and talented Marketing Coordinators, and strategizes, plans, manages, and executes marketing activities collaboratively with the Marketing, Communications and Practice teams. We have an outstanding marketing team who love what they do and love to have fun along the way. Use your understanding of our industry and markets, expertise, and relationships to make a positive, measurable impact. Working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, you guide your team in strategizing, and building compelling content through the creation of proposals, presentations, collateral and more.

In this role you will:
    lead, create, manage, and execute HGA's marketing activities working with internalpartners to gather requirements and develop strategy;
  • act as the conduit to connect and assign copywriting, design, web design, and otherduties as appropriate to support PR, Digital, Brand, Awards, and Photography;
  • manage external relationships with marketing communications vendors and professionalorganizations;
  • recruit, train, and manage marketing staff through the development of goals,objectives, and systems;
  • manage the implementation of new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the Marketing department and performed services;
  • work with office directors and practice group leaders to champion strategies and drivethe goals of the office;
  • lead and/or supervise Marketing department-wide procedures, standards, and workloads;
  • collaborate with practice group leaders and business developers on the execution ofstrategic initiatives and champion marketing projects;
  • direct and develop Marketing department policies and procedures; and
  • keep abreast of current trends and developments in marketing.
You will need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or other related field or required.
  • Minimum ten years previous marketing/communications experience required.
  • Experience with RFQ/RFP and interview preparation process (knowledge of architectural and/or engineering fields a plus).
  • Past team supervision.
  • Intermediate Marketing concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Marketing communications processes and technique.
  • Strong graphic design abilities and proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign,Illustrator, and Photoshop).
  • Copywriting/editing skills.
  • Skill with CRM systems (as required).
  • Microsoft Office products Word and Excel (intermediate level).
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, follow instructions, attention to detail, accuracy, meet deadlines, and follow-through with strong organizational skills.
  • Adapt to change within a fast-paced, team environment, often against tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented disposition; proactive-can-do attitude and grace under pressure.
Salary Information:

The pay ranges listed align to the geography of the following offices: Sacramento, San Franscisco, and San Jose. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA's robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs.


Sacramento - Salary range: $96,300 - $106,100
San Jose & San Franscisco - Salary range: $119,100 - $131,200
